Rhian Ramos reunites with her Stairway to Heaven leading men in 'Genesis'

Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos is all geared up for her major teleserye comeback via the adventure-drama series Genesis. Excited din si Rhian dahil aside from playing a lead role ay muli niyang makakasama ang mga nakatrabaho niya sa Stairway to Heaven na sina Dingdong Dantes, TJ Trinidad at Direk Joyce Bernal. GMANetwork.com had the chance to interview her during the show’s pictorial, where she candidly shared about her preparations and how she feels about being part of this grand project.

“Very good, parang walang nagbago. It’s still the same working relationship that I came to know before na just very professional. We just stick to our jobs. If ever we talk, we talk about our scenes,” describes Rhian of her working relationship with Dingdong.

She adds, “At saka it’s not only me reuniting with him but also with Direk Joyce [Bernal] amd with Jay Cruz who also worked in Stairway to Heaven, and TJ. Ayun nga, we’re Team Stairway. We’re back! Plus one na, so we’re even better kasi nandito na si Direk Mark [Reyes].”

Rhian also expressed her feelings about being part of Genesis. “It’s very exciting, at saka siyempre I’m always into something new, something different. Naniniwala kasi ako na parang there’s nothing anymore in art na hindi pa nagagawa. Parang feeling ko lahat nagawa na, we just do different versions of it. So parang when there’s something that’s kind of different na hindi pa natin nasusubukan dito sa Pilipinas, I get really excited about it. And I feel really lucky to be part of it.”

How did she prepare for her role as Raquel?

“I had a lot of help naman because it’s so different kasi from my last character in Indio. So I had a lot of help from Jay, our acting coach, he is always on the set. Basically naman kasi when you read the script, medyo you get a feel na rin for the character and who she is. Pero we just worked on the small things that really make a person real, and put together a person’s personality. We talk about it, we do a lot of talking about it. Sometimes even in our recent tapings, we’re still not done talking about it. ‘Yung in between scenes, we’ll be like ‘Labas muna tayo.’ And we’ll just sit outside in the parking lot and really talk more about the character. We’re endlessly talking about it.”  Full Story
