Check this Out: Floyd Mayweather and His Prized Belts

October 22, 2015
After retiring from boxing, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has a lot of time on his hands that he hardly knows what to do with. Perhaps it was boredom and maybe conceit also that made him take a photo of his collection of title belts and share it on his Instagram account.

Mayweather lined up all the belts that he won throughout his 19-year professional boxing career. A total of 23 belts in brown, emerald, red, and green colors were shown off by the boxer on a billiard table. The belts symbolize his victory in different levels including WBC Super Welterweight, IBF Welterweight, and WBA (Super) Welterweight.

The retired boxer, who posed with the belts, captioned the photo, “It took 19 years but they’ll talk about it forever.”

Mayweather announced his retirement last month after his fight with Andre Berto. He remains undefeated in 49 fights.

Find Out Why Comelec Revoked DZMM Accreditation on Tuesday

October 13, 2015
DZMM’s accreditation for the coverage of the politicians filing of certificate of candidacy (CoC) was revoked on Tuesday by the Commission on Election after it breached the rules set for the media. The network’s news team violated the terms when they commandeered Senator Ferdinand “BongBong” Marcos Jr., who filed his CoC for vice presidency, and took him inside the Comelec lounge, which was solely intended for Commissioners, for an exclusive interview without a formal permission from the poll body.
Commissioner Rowena Guanzon revealed to Interaksyon that when she entered the lounge she saw the DZMM team headed by Charisse Para interviewing Senator Marcos. Although the team saw her they continued with the interview.

Due to the incident, Comelec spokesman Atty. James Jimenez held a brief press conference revoking DZMM’s accreditation for Tuesday. However, the team can still apply for restoration of their accreditation today (Wednesday).

Para acknowledged that the mistake was his, “This is a personal apology from my heart, I acted on my own just to get a scoop, and I am sorry also to my brethren in media, and I take full responsibility for my action.”

Miriam Defensor Santiago Running for President

October 13, 2015
Will you vote for Miriam Defensor Santiago in the upcoming May 2016 elections? And I don’t mean as senator because this indefatigable lady has revealed that she will be running for the highest position – the presidency. Santiago intends to file her certificate of candidacy on Friday (October 16), the last day of filing. The senator will be filing her COC under the People’s Reform Party, which she established in 1991.
And it seems she has a vice president picked out already but would not divulge who it is. She did reveal that this person has already announced his candidacy and has red as the campaign color.

When asked whether she was certain about running for president, Santiago candidly replied, “I will definitely. I will run because I’ve already gotten over my bout of cancer and there’s nothing left to do.”

The question now is, does Miriam Defensor Santiago have a big chance of getting the presidency with Grace Poe, Mar Roxas, and Jejomar Binay as her competition?
