80, 000 Jobs Available In Labor Day – DOLE

This year, more than 800 employers will participate in job fairs this 1st of May (Labor Day). That being said, Filipinos need to expect a lot of chances both here in the Philippines and abroad. Now this will be fun and exciting as tons of employers will be opening and finding workers and employees across the archipelago.

In a statement last Sunday, April 22, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said that it has organized 53 Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) fairs.

As DOLE estimates it, there will be available 78, 675 jobs for individuals looking to get jobs.

A total of 829 employers are participating in the said event. 163 of those employers would be overseas and 666 of which would be from the Philippines.

To give you an idea of which jobs are trending or which profession would be the most likely you’ll encounter, here is the list of the most number of vacancies:

  • Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) – 4, 002
  • Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – 889
  • Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) – 1, 470
  • Call Center Agents – 1, 306
  • Construction Workers – 900
  • Carpenters – 708
  • Masons – 1, 385
  • Production workers /Factory workers – 1, 443
  • Production Machine Operators – 1, 288
  • Service Crew – 880

The above list would be the vacancies locally.  Overseas, the demanding jobs would be in the fields of:

  • Construction Workers – 200
  • Engineers (mechanical, electrical, civil) – 344
  • Food and Beverage Staff – 689
  • Nurses – 3, 988
  • Production Workers /Factory Workers – 300
  • Technicians – 1, 546
  • Sales Associate Professionals – 200
