Congratulations to Gilas Pilipinas for overthrowing Iran in the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship on Monday in Changsha, China. The score of 87-73 in favor of the Philippines finally put an end to Iran’s reign as FIBA Asia’s Champ. 
Viewers had their hearts in their throats during the third quarter when Iran got ahead of Gilas by 10 points. But thanks to Jayson Castro, Terrence Romeo and Andray Blatche the team managed to fill the gap and get way ahead of Iran during the second half of the game. Castro led the team with 26 points, Blatche earned 18 and Terrence 15 points.
Because of this win against the Iran, Gilas earned a place in Group E.
This defeat is a big blow to Iran since it’s their first loss in the tournament.
