New P2P Bus Routes in Taguig

Filipinos know the struggle and the hassle of the daily commute. Especially in the busiest places like Central Business Districts, Makati and Ortigas. However, since the Premium Point-to-Point buses came to life, commuters had newer, better, and other options. Good news for everyone who commutes to and fro the south because there are new P2P bus routes in Taguig.

Last Monday, the 18th of Februar 2019, MetroExpress posted on their Facebook page the updates they’re talking about with the schedules of the buses they have.

If you’re going to be coming from Taguig, you will find the bus terminal at Vista Mall in Taguig. The Taguig – Makati route has different drop off points specifically in some places in Ayala like the Ayala Avenue Bus Stop, the Trasierra Street terminal, and in Circuit Makati. The ending of the route is going to be in Trasierra Street.

Meanwhile, the Taguig – Ortigas route has drop off points at some points in EDSA mainly, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Pioneer; the route of the buses would end at Starmall Shaw terminal. 

When are these routes available?

Fortunately, these routes will be available every Mondays ’til Fridays. However, there are no news that they will be operating during weekends.

How much is the fare for the MetroExpress P2P buses?

For a regular trip, the fare would be P70.00 for the Ortigas route and P55 for the Makati route, coming from Taguig. Senior citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and Students would, of course, have their benefits and discounts for the fares.

From Vista Mall (Taguig) to Trasierra Street (Makati)

Morning trips:

The bus from Vista Mall, Taguig will be leaving in the following times:

  • 8:30 A.M.
  • 9:00 A.M.
  • 9:30 A.M.

Afternoon trips:

In the afternoon, the bus from Vista Mall Taguig will be leaving at:

  • 1:00 P.M.
  • 1:30 P.M.
  • 2:30 P.M.

  • 5:30 P.M.
  • 6:30 P.M.
  • 7:00 P.M.

As you can see, the intervals of the departure of the buses from Vista Mall, Taguig is around 30 minutes to 1 hour. In order for you to maximize this, be sure that you’re aware of the schedule.

Vice Versa; From Trasierra Street (Makati) to Vista Mall (Taguig)

Morning trips:

The MetroExpress P2P bus from Trasierra Street to Vista Mall in Taguig will depart at:

  • 7:30 A.M.
  • 8:15 A.M.
  • 8:45 A.M.
  • 9:15 A.M.
  • 10:00 A.M.
  • 10:30 A.M.
  • 11:00 A.M.
  • 11:30 A.M.

The afternoon trips coming from Makati to Taguig are:

  • 1:00 P.M.
  • 1:45 P.M.
  • 2:30 P.M.
  • 3:30 P.M.
  • 4:30 P.M.
  • 5:45 P.M.
  • 6:45 P.M.
  • 7:30 P.M.
  • 8:30 P.M.
  • 9: P.M.

Unlike the trips coming from Taguig, the schedule of the buses coming from Makati sometimes have a 45-minute deficit. Nevertheless, knowing the schedule is key.

Vista Mall (Taguig) to Starmall EDSA Shaw (Ortigas)

Morning trips:

Now, we’ll give you the schedule of the buses coming from Vista Mall to Ortigas via EDSA. The schedule of the departure of the buses in the morning is as follow:

  • 6:00 A.M.
  • 6:30 A.M.
  • 7:00 A.M.
  • 7:30 A.M.

The afternoon trips have a differential of an hour in their schedules. It could be because of the distance of Vista Mall Taguig to Ortigas and it could also be because of the traffic.

Now, coming from Starmall EDSA Shaw from Ortigas going to Vista Mall in Taguig, here’s the schedule of the departure of the buses:

  • 7:30 A.M.
  • 8:00 A.M.
  • 8:30 A.M.
  • 9:00 A.M.
  • 10:00 A.M.
  • 11:00 A.M.

Afternoon trips:

  • 12:00 P.M.
  • 1:00 P.M.
  • 2:00 P.M.
  • 3:00 P.M.
  • 4:00 P.M.
  • 5:00 P.M.

  • 7:00 P.M.

As you can see, the departure of the buses even from Starmall Ortigas to Taguig has a 1 hour deficit. This might be because of the distance that the bus will traverse. But this doesn’t matter; what matters is that you know your schedules and that you will not be left behind.

Are you a commuter to Taguig and you want a different, a more comfortable way of doing so? If you are a commuter coming from the East (Antipolo, Cainta, Rizal), you can now have this option! Although the price is a bit expensive, you have the guarantee that you will get there in time and in style!
